Gift Horse is a locally owned gift shop with a focus on stationery and unique gifts. We specialize in greeting cards, art prints, notebooks, with a large selection of locally made goods. We have a section of Nashville-themed gifts, children's books, a variety of t-shirts, a wall of pens and pencils, and handcrafted accessories. We proudly feature art and illustration from independent artists and makers across the globe.

This horse is out of the barn

Gift Horse is the creation of Jessica Maloan Vastagh. Native Tennessean, Jessica moved to Nashville to study graphic design. After college she took up printmaking and traveled around to regional craft fairs selling her hand-printed greeting cards and art prints. She realized that Nashville needed a local art market and she wanted to provide a place in her community to showcase the work of independent artists and offer uncommon and affordable gifts of all kinds, which led to Jessica co-founding Porter Flea.

After leaving the craft fair circuit, she had an opportunity to open a store. In August 2016, Gift Horse opened its doors in the Shoppes on Fatherland in East Nashville.
